Refurbishment debris
A decorating project, kitchen refit or small building job can contain very different materials. If there is rubble, plasterboard or electricals, tell us so we can price it properly.
WEST SUSSEX SERVICE AREA · FINDON
Findon’s village properties and routes into the Downs can bring extra questions about access. Before booking a skip for a renovation, check there is a safe place for it and keep heavy rubble separate.
D J RECYCLING · WEST SUSSEXLOCAL SERVICE GUIDE
We serve Findon village a few miles north of our yard on the A24. Garden waste, outbuildings and house clear-outs make up most of our work here, and we check access on the lanes before we come.
Many Findon properties have large gardens and outbuildings, so green waste collections and skips on the green waste rate are popular. If you are clearing a shed, stable or garage, our team can load the van for you. For tight lanes, a skip bag is a handy alternative to a full skip.
LOCAL PRACTICAL CONSIDERATIONS
A few things worth checking before you book in Findon.
A decorating project, kitchen refit or small building job can contain very different materials. If there is rubble, plasterboard or electricals, tell us so we can price it properly.
A driveway that slopes, curves or narrows between hedges may limit a skip delivery. Send a photograph from the highway and tell us about low branches, gates and uneven surfaces rather than guessing whether the lorry will fit.
If you are removing fencing, decking or old stored timber, note whether it is painted or treated. Send a list and a few photos, and we will tell you whether a skip or a collection is better.
Local planning tip: Out towards the Downs, some drives are wide open and some are very tight. Tell us which applies to yours.
FINDON LOCAL GUIDE
Findon village sits just north of Worthing on the A24, inside the South Downs National Park, with Cissbury Ring on the hill above it. It is close to us, but the lanes and hedges mean every job needs a quick access check.
Some homes are on wider residential roads where a skip on the drive is easy. Others are down narrow lanes with banks, overhanging trees and tight turns. Tell us about anything low or narrow on the way in and we will plan the right vehicle and the right size.
Gardens here are often large, so green waste, hedge cuttings and old fencing make up a lot of what we take away. For dense material like soil and stone, a 2 or 4-yard skip is the safer choice because it reaches the weight limit quickly.
If a skip will not fit, a collection is the easy alternative. We load everything and take it away in one visit, with nothing left on the lane.
